Homemade Gluten Free Croutons

Ingredients

Scale

1 loaf of gluten free whole grain bread and or a combination with Whole Grain and Rye Style loaf
1 baking tray

Seasonings for making croutons
Italian Blend seasonings
Garlic granuels
Celtic Sea Salt
Fresh minced garlic, optional
Olive Oil

Instructions

Cutting the bread cubes:

Take 3 pieces of bread at a time.

Cut three 1/4 ” slices in one direction and four 1/4 ” slices the next direction.

Place freshly sliced bread cubes onto baking sheet.

Drizzle and toss bread cubes with olive oil, fresh garlic, sprinkles of garlic granules, Celtic sea salt, Italian blend seasonings, and grated Pecorino Romano cheese.

Place cubes in a pre-heated 400 degree oven. TURN oven temperature down to 250 degrees and bake croutons for 20 minutes or when bread cubes are nicely browned and crisp.

Check to make sure they dont burn, but are getting toasted.

Remove croutons from oven and let cool.

Serve croutons over your favorite salads, as a topping for pasta, or for your stuffing!

Method for making plain bread cubes for stuffing

Follow the directions above. Omit adding the seasonings.

Toast plain bread cubes in same temperature for 20-30 minutes until nicely crisp, not too browned.
