We get so excited when a new vegetable shows up at the Farmers Market!
This week asparagus hit the farmers’ tents! They are such a simple delicacy as it doesn’t take much to prepare them! Roasted in a little olive oil and sprinkled with your favorite sea salt, perhaps add a bit of fresh minced garlic, and you are good to go! OH and dont forget eat~ them with your fingers, they taste so much better that way!
Roasted Asparagus
1 Lb or more asparagus~ They disappear when prepared this way
2-3 cloves garlic
Celtic Sea Salt or Truffle Salt to taste
Olive Oil
Parchment paper and Roasting pan
Wash asparagus and trim tough ends by cutting or snapping the bottoms off. The actually snap where the tender and tough spot is! Try it!
Pat dry. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl drizzle a little olive oil, sea salt and fresh garlic to taste. Mix so asparagus are well coated, but not drenched in oil. Roast in a preheat 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until nice and crisp.
In a hurry? Broil them for 10 minutes! It also works great! Just be sure to watch them so they dont burn.
Use fingers to enjoy ~ Kids love this! Have fun!
