Ingredients
Scale
- 1/3 C cream rice farina or 1/3 C rice that’s been steel cut in the “bullet”
- 2/3 C Chai~ Pre-made tea, strong
- Cinnamon
- Dates, chopped
- Hazelnut Milk or Almond Milk
Instructions
- Bring Chai tea to a boil in a small pot.
- Slowly whisk in the rice.
- Cover and simmer for 5-8 minutes. Stirring a couple of times.
- Once it begins to thicken, you may add chopped dates at this point, or wait and use them to top with cinnamon.
- Turn flame off and let sit covered 5-8 minutes. It’s SO Yummy!
For a creamier texture use 1/2 Chai and 1/2 hazelnut milk or pour the milk over hot porridge.
