  • Total Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1.5 oz. Wild salmon filet (or Canadian or Norwegian sustainably farmed salmon)
  • 1/2 Lemon, fresh
  • Garlic granules, to taste
  • Miso Dressing, recipe follows, or a favorite brand (we love our local Dave’s Korean Miso dressing for a fast method)
  • Avocado oil for searing

Instructions

  1. Wash fish, pat dry and set aside.
  2. Heat a medium skillet to fit your salmon filet
  3. Add about 2-3 Tbsp. oil to pan.
  4. While pan is heating, squeeze fresh lemon juice first over fish, then sprinkle some garlic granules.
  5. Once skillet is hot, carefully place salmon SKIN SIDE down.
  6. Cover and cook 2-3 minutes depending on the thickness of the fish.
  7. Flip and cook another 2-3 minutes.
  8. Turn broiler on in oven.
  9. Once the second flip is done, FLIP back to top of fish.
  10. Pour Miso dressing over the fish to cover.
  11. Place fish under broiler and carefully watch.
  12. Once miso is hot bubbly and browned, remove fish and set aside.

Notes

Serve with Yellow Rice or Farmers Market Stir Fry or simple Seared Ginger Bok Choy and a simple green salad, cucumbers and red onion and dress with the miso dressing.

Variations:

Use another wild fish: black cod or another firm white fish. Artic char, Steelhead or Sea Trout works well too!
