- I personally enjoyed Bread Blok, but they are no longer baking. Stores such as Erewon Market carry an artisan gluten free bread as does Gjusta Bakery and deli in Southern California. However, these places sell out quickly. It’s good to order the day before and pick it up! Warning: It is a pricy loaf $14. I slice these no preservative breads using my favorite bread slicer from Milk Street. Be careful its light, easy to use and a breeze to cut the heartiest of breads! I then freeze the slices in small batches with parchment paper squares in between so they don’t stick or mold.
- Store bought frozen and unfrozen gluten free options other gluten free friends and family members enjoy: Canyon Backhouse Whole Grain or 7-Grain, Udi’s Ancient grain Omega Flax and Fiber bread, Rudi’s Multi Grain Gluten Free bread, Rudi’s Gluten Free English muffins. Happy Camper organic, gluten free. Udi’s or Canyon Bakehouse Bagels.
Peg’s caveat: the ingredients in these breads are not always up to our standards, however when kids are just learning to embrace a gluten free diet/lifestyle giving them the better tasting or option to choose which breads they will eat is better than starting WW3.
